Game 2 at Atlanta Legacy Invitational Canceled In Top Of 2nd Inning Due To Severe Thunderstorm

Rising Appel/Sherrill 18U was set to take the field Friday in what shaped up to be a pitchers duel. Both teams came out strong in the circle, with Rising Appel/Sherrill 18U getting on the board in the first inning after CJ Haines (2028) lined out to drive in a run.

Izzy Tart (2026), a Tennessee Tech commit, got the start for Rising Appel/Sherrill 18U. The right-hander worked one inning, striking out one and walking one.

At the plate, Haines (2028) led the team with one run batted in. Emalynn Kitts (2028) went 1-for-1 to pace Rising Appel/Sherrill 18U in hits.

Ultimately, play was halted and the game was canceled due to a severe thunderstorm in the area.
